On October 23, 1928, New York City was the birthplace of Norm Ebenstein. His parents, Samuel and Jeanette, wound up relocating to Worcester in Massachusetts following his birth. It was here where they raised him to grow up proud of having a Jewish background. Norm turned into a proponent of getting a good education, and he took a lot of pride in the achievements of his family.
Norm personally founded the establishment Capital Commercial Properties, and this is where he wound up assuming the singular role of company president for an astounding five decades. He also got involved in the creation of many different residential properties and shopping malls and centers. Norm wound up being really proud of the work he had involved in the Eden Center, which is a shopping district that is located in Virginia that wound up becoming both a cultural as well as social mecca for citizens of Vietnamese heritage up and down the Atlantic Seaboard. Over the course of his career, Norm participated in numerous projects which are going to impact lots of people for many years going into the future. He’s also played a substantial role in a lot of non-profit organizations, as well as creating the foundation which is focused on encouraging philanthropic activities.
Norm Ebenstein and His Early Life
Norm Ebenstein was a student of Phillips Exeter before later attending Brown University, which is where he decided to study economics. He was also a varsity player for the baseball team, and even a well-known pitcher at the time. It was during his university years that he met Shirley Gorlick. They fell deeply in love and wound up going on to enjoy 65 years of marriage.
Above and beyond his undergraduate degree, Norm also went on to Boston University for a law degree. Despite his focus on professional success, Norma also involved himself actively in the sport of tennis, and he remained active in the game for the majority of his living years.
Norm Ebenstein, at the age of 88, passed away on December 20, 2016. He lived a really full life, his family members loved him deeply, and he was respected and admired for being intelligent, charismatic, and professional.
Norm is survived by his wife Shirley, two children, two grandchildren, and a daughter-in-law. They miss him greatly, but also take a lot of comfort in knowing this wonderful man had a tremendous impact on the world around him.
